Disney Interactive will introduce a new online DS service called DGamer in May that will enable users to create their own Disney-related DS profiles, make their own avatars, track accomplishments, correspond and trade collected items over the DS wi-fi connection. 5DgmN/cy

Here's how the service works. When you insert a DGamer-enabled cart into your DS, you'll have the option to sign up for the service -- minors have limited access and adults can authorize more access by providing a credit card number for age verification. AGV' U!_

Once connected, you'll create a handle and customize your avatar, choosing from a number of different Disney-themed clothing items and accessories (Buzz Lightyear, Narnia, Mickey, etc.). DGamer members can then use the free service to compare 'honors,' that they've accumulated from playing DGamer-enabled games or chat about games or general topics. Right now the service is only planned for DS, but Disney said it hopes to introduce a similar concept on the Wii in the future. The new feature will debut on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, due out in May, and Disney expects to release 10 more DGamer titles in 2008. $;0;Ue j
