The speed of baidu webdisk is getting slower and slower.

However, this is not surprising. If you review the history of webdisk brands in China, you will know why:
- 360 webdisk: shutted down in 2017/2
- kingsoft disk: shutted down in 2016/8
- dbank: disabled file sharing in 2016/5
- 115 webdisk: disabled file sharing in 2016/1

And many many brands, shutted down, disabled file sharing feature, limited daily download and upload size, reduced webdisk capacity. Not only because what the webdisk users do might interfere the law, but also high cost and low return of the webdisk service.

What's worse is most of the foreign webdisks (e.g. Google Drive) are forbidden in China, because of disguised protectionism and dirty trades.

The only webdisk alive in China (i.e. could be used for large-scale sharing copyrighted materials) is baidu webdisk. The whole webdisk industry is being monopolized by baidu.

With no competitors and temptation of money, baidu enforces users purchase the VIP in disguise by limiting speed. That is all.

That's exactly right. We have no choice but baidu.

By the way how is the speed of baidu?In the case of me, it was about 4 ~ 5 MB some months ago. Currently it is about 400 KB.

I'm currently using a direct download crack on the webpage (i.e. no need for logging in).
If I download a file using a 2MB/s Internet environment and single thread, the speed could reach 100KB/s at maximum and the task could not be paused.
If I use multi threads, the task will be quickly failed.

Oh, really?
I think that the "User-Agent" header used in the HTTP protocol may exposed the downloader.
I'm currently using Chrome+TamperMonkey, using this script: https://greasyfork.org/scripts/39504 , I could open 10 connection threads, to the speed of 400 KB/s, using the XunLei (Speed Version) downloader.
