I have eventually watched ch09 last night.

The atmosphere seems to be quite awful in ch 09.  I don't know whether there is similar scene in the original game.  If not, this seems to be "blackmouth" the character.  

Personally speaking, I do not hate such topics but I just think that this is not very compatible with the story style.  I would skip next chapter until the story turns to brighter side.
